Announcement bar

The announcement bar is a thin strip across the very top of every page, above the header — for a launch, a sale, a notice, a deadline. It is a Ghost feature rather than a Neutrino one, which means it works on any Ghost theme and is configured in Ghost's own settings.

What Neutrino contributes is the fit. The bar sits above the fixed header and gets a height that steps down on smaller screens, and — more importantly — the full-screen hero is measured from below it rather than from the top of the window. Without that, an announcement bar would either overlap the top of every hero image or push the hero down so its bottom edge fell off screen. Whatever framing you have chosen for a cover image keeps working exactly as it did.

The one thing worth checking after you switch it on is any post whose hero is framed to the top edge. The frame has moved down by the bar's height, so the top of that image is now the top of a slightly shorter box.
