The CMS-editable homepage

Neutrino lets you build your homepage in Ghost's ordinary page editor. Write a page the way you would write any other — title, feature image, excerpt, whatever blocks you like — mark it, and it becomes what visitors see at your site's root. No template files, no code, no routing configuration, and it is editable by anyone who can edit a page.

The part that makes it worth doing is that the page can also grow sections of its own — one per category you publish under, each listing your latest posts in that category, in an order you control. Publish a new post and it appears there; you never go back and edit the homepage.

The same mechanism works on any page, not only the homepage — a "Resources" page can grow live sections in exactly the same way. And a site that has not set a custom homepage still gets a sensible one: your site title, description and cover image, followed by your two most-used categories.
