Header and footer

The header and footer are the two regions of a Neutrino site you configure once and then largely forget. Between them they carry your logo, your navigation at both levels, a call-to-action button at each end, search, the reader's account link, a newsletter signup, your social profiles and your copyright line — assembled from Ghost's own branding and navigation settings plus twelve of Neutrino's fifteen theme settings.

Both regions adapt on their own. The header floats over whatever is beneath it and flips its text between black and white to stay legible over any hero image. When the navigation has more items than fit, it scrolls horizontally with a fade indicator rather than wrapping into a second row. The footer re-flows depending on whether you run a newsletter and whether the reader is signed in — a signed-in member does not need a subscribe form, so it is removed and the remaining elements take up the space rather than leaving a hole.
