Neutrino installs like any Ghost theme — upload the zip, activate it, done in about five minutes. There is one extra file that unlocks the optional full-page signup screens, and it is the step most people miss.

Neutrino installs like any other Ghost theme. You upload a zip file in Ghost admin, click activate, and your site changes over immediately. Nothing is compiled on your machine, nothing is installed on your server, and no build tools are involved. On a normal connection the whole thing takes about five minutes.

It works the same way on Ghost(Pro) and on a self-hosted Ghost. There is no separate "hosted" and "self-hosted" build of the theme — one zip, both environments.

Two things are worth knowing before you start. First, Neutrino ships an optional pair of full-page signup and sign-in screens, and those need one small configuration file uploaded alongside the theme; skip it and everything else still works, but those two screens will not resolve. Second, most of what makes a Neutrino site look like the demo is content and settings, not the theme file — a fresh activation gives you a correct, working site, not a populated one.
