v1.5.28 - Accent colour legibility
Your accent colour no longer disappears where it is used as a label or an outline on a page of a similar shade, and two blocks that showed unreadable text have been fixed.
New features
- Your accent colour no longer disappears into the page. An accent that is very close in lightness to the page behind it — a pale colour on a light page, a deep one on a dark page — used to vanish where it was drawn as a text label or a thin outline. Those uses now switch to black or white when, and only when, the colour would otherwise be unreadable. Backgrounds always keep your colour, and nothing needs configuring. In hybrid mode, where the page changes shade as the reader scrolls, the accent changes with it. See Branding: logo, accent colour and the black-or-white case.
Bug fixes
- Callouts using your accent colour had unreadable text on some sites. The text colour followed your light or dark setting instead of the accent behind it, so it came out white on a pale accent, or black on a deep one. It now always contrasts with the callout itself.
- A button placed below other content could have an invisible label. On a dark site with a light accent, left-aligned buttons after the first block of a page rendered their text in a colour that matched the background. They now match the centred ones.
